I’ve only gone and actually uploaded something haven’t I?I’ve been doing this little mash up live on two turntables and the KRS – One and Danny Breaks vinyls pretty much ever since DJ Demon put me onto, and then subsequently got me a copy of the incredible ‘Transmit Fantastic’ EP as a bonus for DJing at Throwdown in Peterborough, way back in 2008..
A very fortunate discovery, as the two tracks just seem to go together perfectly, and I’d been planning on putting the two tracks together properly for ages, but hadn’t got round to it.
So when a little birdy told me that they’d heard a certain other DJ biting* this mix, it was all the motivation I needed to get it done and shared with the world…
Download via the button above, play it out loads, I’ve rinsed it for the past 5 years, about time I let you lot have a go…
*It is entirely feasible that we both made the discovery independently, but we all love a bit of drama…

Beastie Boys Sample Source Collection
Following on from yesterdays post with the sample sources for Main Source’s Breaking Atoms album, and a little tip off from DJ Crump, I found myself stumbling across a right gem! Turns out, those helpful chaps over at Miscreant Creations have been busy working away to find all of the sample sources for pretty much everything the Beastie Boys have ever done..
I’ve sourced and tracked down damn near every song that has ever been sampled by the Beastie Boys from Licensed to Ill up until To The 5 Boroughs, and all points in between. This has been an ongoing project since 1998 and although it will never be 100% complete, this is probably as close as it gets. As it stands, the only ‘source’ that I wasn’t able to track down was Modern Dynamic Physical Fitness Activities by Ed Durlacher, which was sampled in Body Movin’
